Justice is a consistent decision to do what is good toward God and my neighbor. I respect the rights and duties of others. Justice brings harmony. Without justice, there is no peace. There are no rights without duties attached. If I wish to exercise my rights in justice I must also exercise my duties.

When an injustice is done how do you restore balance and bring about peace without punishing the one that caused the initial infraction? How does that person learn that their are consequences for causing an injustice to another? Or are the consequences foregone in order to ensure that peace is restored?
Aquinas defines justice as the virtue “which is a bout due actions between equals.” Perhaps the most perfect expression of the rule of the virtue of justice is the famous “Golden Rule” which says that we are to do unto others as we would be done unto. The premise of this rule that self-interest should guide our relations with others who, because we are all created equal by the same God and in the image of that God, are our equals. To offend someone is to offend God, and it is also to be offended ourselves. Thus justice is the exercise of the relationship of equity between equals.
So are you saying by turning the other cheek the one who was offended can restore peace no matter how severe the infraction?
the movie Fearless in miind ... when you think of justice. One usually acts on partial or little information when an injustice is commited. Then this only leads to further violence and injustice.
Once Hoa learned the way it was many years after much pain and death. He then set out to restore is good name by doing that which was just even in the face of his own death. He constantly demonstrated how he wanted to be treated no matter how others treated him. That is displayed all throught the movie once he meets grandmother and Yeuci. With the boy and the others he there do to what is justice. No longer taking lives when sparring with others.; He came to the conclusion that death didn't have to be the end. Maybe for life but what one has done in his lifetime for good will live far beyond the grave.
Justice! Peace!
